Strategy- the foundation of the long-term existence and development of any company. It can take into account best practices (benchmarking), modern trends (ESG, Sustainable Development, etc.), the opinions of all stakeholders (owner, shareholders, customers, society, etc.).
Our approach to strategy development:
Diagnostics:
We begin strategy preparation with diagnostics of the current situation:
1. Clarify information about the vision of Owner/ Shareholders of the company on its future development.
2. We study the markets, clients with whom the Customer works, products and services, key processes of Customer.
3. Collect the opinion of other stakeholders about the current state, strengths and areas for improvement.
Goals setting:
At this stage, we help to form a clear idea for goals:
1. Formation of a mission, vision, values in the event of a lack of a clear understanding.
2. Formation of the company`s strategic goals, based on the information collected during Diagnostics.
Study of the external environment:
At this stage, the study of the external environment takes place:
1. Markets in which the Customer plans to operate, potential clients.
2. External environment and trends (political, economic, technical, regulatory etc.).
3. Analysis of existing and potential competitors.
4. Risks that the Customer may face and methods of responding to them.
Strategy preparation:
At this final stage, the document itself and the related top-level goals are formed:
1. Generalized mission, values, strategic goals, external and internal analysis.
2. Potential markets, clients, products, approaches for achieving results.
3. Balanced scorecard which cover four key areas for successful strategy implementation.
Operational efficiency
Operational efficiency is a company`s ability to achive better results with less efforts. Effort refers to use of the company`s resources- money and human.
Our approach to assessing the effectiveness:
Diagnostics:
We conduct diagnosctics of the current state in several direction to form the most complete understanding of the situation:
1. Analysis of financial and managment reports- calculation of a set of ratios and indicators that allow us to understand financial health and stability of the company, the ability to create value for owners.
2. Analysis of key processes through the study of internal documentation, imployees and managers surveys, visits to the Customer`s facilities. We use process visualization tools, time measurment and other approaches to better understand the points of breaks (time and profir loss etc.).
Recommendations and Roadmap:
Based on the information collected, we prepare a list of recommendations and calendar plan for implementing the recommended actions:
1. Recommendations to eliminate key points of profit loss, breaks in key processes or recommendations to create new processes and approaches.
2. A calendar plan for implementation taking into account existing resources or the best one scenario with additional resources. In addition to recommendations and a Roadmap, we are ready to take on full support of the transformation process with subsequents periodic monitoring and adjustments if neccesary.
